Augusta, Gone #5

5. So in this chapter, Augusta comes back home.

4. Things between her and mom become muchhh better.

  1. I think its kinda messed up how Rochester doesnt love Antoinette anymore, since they just got married
  2. Wow, he dont remember his own wedding...

  4. So he only wanted to get with her, but he wasnt really in love with her, but yet he still married her.

  1. So after the fire, they just all get seperated because they have nowhera to live.
  2. Antoinette gets teased at in her new school.
  3. I don't like how Antoinette's parents visit her every once in a while.
  4. It makes me sad, how noone went to Antoinette's mother's funeral...
  5. This book kind of reminds me of my friend, whos house burnt down.

  1. A little white girl was teasing Antoinette because she was colored and the wouldn't leave her alone...how rude.

  2. Antoinette makes a new friend, Tia, and they become real good friends.

  3. Antoinette's mother is happy that she finally made some new friends, and she decided to stay away from her private life so she doesn't ask any questions.

  4. The two new friends got into a fight, and Tia runs away from Antoinette..

  5. Her mother and her start getting frustruated because they feel not good enough because of their clothes being gross and dirty.

  1. So the book starts out with the summary of Antoinette's family and their past life.
  2. Her and her family don't fit in the Spanish Town, which is the white people area.
  3. Antoinette didn't have any friends, and her only friend in the neighborhood. Mr. Luttrell, out of nowhere shot his dog and left the town.
  4. Everyone says that Antionette is wayyy too pretty for her husband...
  5. This is similar to what we read about in class, which was the whole racism thing, and how people of certain races and colors don't fit in their community so they're kind of being left out.

bel canto

so far ive only read the first few pages of the book im reading because i decided to change my books since i didnt like the other one. i also read the back of it and some summaries about it. its basically about an attack on this party because people wanted to kidnap the president, but the president wasnt there cuz he stayed home and decided to watch tv. lol. so they locked the wole place down and wouldnt leave untill they had the president...so far this is all i know about the book but im really looking forward to reading some more tonight!
